The Ludwigsburg Prison Museum shows the history of torture, imprisonment and punishment.
On two floors in the former Tollhaus of the prison – one of the oldest buildings in the baroque city of Ludwigsburg – you can see a selection of around 5000 objects from our own collection and on loan.
Prisoners‘ clothing, guillotines, a prison cell and objects from the RAF in Stammheim are just some of our exhibits.

- Parking spaces (subject to charges) can be found in the surrounding area

Access
Admission is free.
We are happy to receive a donation.
- Access to the house is via a few steps.
- The second part of the exhibition can be reached via a staircase to the upper floor.
- We have seating in almost all rooms.
